no spray either im highly against doing that to a car this new....maybe in about 4 years haha
Im definitely getting cams now...still can get UDP's ... both those cars have IRS so i know i can beat them off the line with those mods

your only options are nitrous, supercharger, or turbocharger if you want to beat him

My suggestion, don't go worrying about what your buddies doin. If that were the case, my ride would have a MMR long block in it and an F-1 on the damn thing instead of a P1sc. Half the cars I roll with are 03-04 Cobras putting 560+ to the pavement.
My brothers cobra simply tuned, CAI and pullied came in at 490 ponies. Your not going to do anything with your car N/A to compete with that. Those are the basic mods done on every single terminator out ther for the most part. Your buddy won't need to spend a dime, the parts are likely to be on the car. Just be happy for your buddy, build a motor over time, and take your time catching up. It's not even worth rushing into unless you got money to burn as both of those cars are far superior power wise.. |

Take your pick from the list above. Without one of those elements you dont stand a snowballs chance in hell of beating or even keeping up...

ugh this is fuckin ridiculous....i asked him i was like "need something faster at the track?"
He's all "Yeah im sick of you beating me." Well now its on like donky kong....he had a hard time driving his GT it will take awhile to learn a car with that much more power for him..

The car does all the work, all he needs to do is easy the thing out of the hole and then get in it's ass.. Even playing catch up smartly your in trouble.
The IRS in those cars is a problem on launch, but there is a reason these cars took the terminator name, they are friggen monsters. They still can leave pretty hard, they just have to avoid wheel hop. That's the key destroyer for them. |

+1 That's kinda what i'm doing. I plan on doing all the bolt-on stuff on this engine, and beefing up the rearend etc...Then while doing that, i'm also saving money for when my car is paid off, that way I can do my crate engine swap, which will be either the 460 or the 514 from Ford Racing. I still wanna beat-up on the occasional ricer though, and have the car pretty quick and show worthy for now, so that's why i'm modding the stock 4.6. Plus I don't wanna void my warranty, so an engine swap right now, would be a very bad idea. Just figured I would let people know, just incase they were wondering why i'm even modding the stock engine.

I disagree with everyone on this thread. You can stay naturally aspirated on full stock motor and take the termi. even if he has a pulley. anyone want to question me? ![]() But your car wont be that fun to drive on street. Listen to emay. Dont worry about what your freind has. Build your car the way you want it. I wouldnt trade my stang for any car out there and thats what you want. Heads and manifold, when its done, and ill never be blown. But if i can get it to 400rwhp all motor, stock displacement....what is there a handfull of 3vavles in the country making that? Might cost me 1600 for a custom manifold though but oh well. Ill be proud of it and thats all that matters.

well he through that out there...im pretty sure he's gonna get the termi if he does sell his car...dudes 23 and i know insurance on a cobra is lower then the Z06 haha...
and yes i would like to stay N/A if i can...and be streetable at about 400rwhp eventually...just got to save and plan it all out how im gonna do it..i just hope the cost of heads for these cars go down soon because 1300 bucks for one side is RIDICULOUS!!

you could get them for 1700 for both from livernios stage 1s anyway. You also could send yours out to have them ported for less. mine is priced out, fox lake, with springs and retainers, all the labor cuase im not doing it myself. is going to cost me 4000. waiting on a my manifold.
