I will have no choice but take it easy at first. By the time the shop gets done and I get on the hwy it will be rush hour traffic.

hey all- new here.

The guys at HP Performance put 4.30s in my 06. The 500 mile break in sucked! Very happy with the gears.

I run the same break in rule, drive it like it's going to be driven.. My gears were doing 1/4 passes hours after install and burnouts minutes after install.

As for bike break in, beat that fucker senseless, driving it like an old lady tends to cause a sleepy motor. I did that with a track 600 of mine, and it was a turd in comparison to every other same make 600 I went up against. My 1000 on the other hand was ridden hard 5 seconds after purchase and it was seen as a freak locally. Everyone assumed motorwork was done, yet it was all stock.. Firm believer in given them a beating.
