Awesome looking car. I would buy either a diablo or sct. Find out which one your local dyno shop supports. Sometimes they support both.

Thanks for all the info already. I'll look up the shops you guys suggested.
Its funny the last blower i put on was 25 years ago and it was on a Ford 460
used in a pulling truck. We had to "make" it work then. I am looking forward to this install. Its not hard but just takes some time. A little after work each day as they say. Anybody here feels like sending me pointers its definately welcome. I know there is always an easier way. The Whipple ran real good on my buddies car. It had gobs of power when you want it but cruised real smooth too. I decided on it from what I heard here too. There is nothing better then getting the low down on this stuff from real people who bolt it on.

Looks like a great ride. I certainly agree that these cars are amazing, with all the computer necessities nowadays it'll be impossible to return to the true hotrod, but these cars are the closest the industry has I think.

Yes I have taken it to the track. Best run was a 13.50 something. I am a fairly experianced drag racer but I was fighting the tires and the chassis. 60ft and 1/8 times were all over the place. A good clutch and some rear suspension work would really help it out at the strip. On paper these cars should run a mid to low 13 at sea level. I have known quite a few guys who thought they were running pretty stout on the street. Its often a surprise when they go to the track and don't run the times they thought they would.
I have the 5 spd but these cars with an auto trans can be a killer bracket racer. Just get the car worked out for consistent 60 and 1/8 times and let her shift at pedal to the metal on the auto trans. Unless your very high above sea level it ought to run 13.50's all day bone stock engine wise. When these cars do get a little older and cheaper, I have an itch to build one all out for the strip. Find a bare bones 6 cylinder car about 10 yrs from now and and go nuts!

Redfire, Your right about the exhaust. I have listened to every one of the vids you posted. Problem is each day one sounds better than the other to me. lol. Guess i am getting older cause Ive had loud and now prefer a deep tone but not to get attention blocks away.
I just can't settle on the one that gives some deep rumble but not blaring loud at WOT. I have heard some on the street I didn't like. I think you younger guys call em ricer? You know like tinny sounding. I am putting on the SC in next week or two and will try and decide on a system that sounds good with it.

Ricer is 16-18yr olds who drive Honda's with a Coffee can muffler. As far as tinny on a Mustang, you will wanna stay away from Flowmaster then, because on the S197, they sound tinny. Other terms you may hear would be raspy, which is usually due to an X-pipe or SLP Loudmouths. If you want deep, but not too loud, then keep the stock H, and get some Borla Stingers, or Mac axlebacks. Both are deep, and throaty. If you want louder later on down the road, then you can get an O/R Prochamber or O/R H-pipe, which in turn will really make that thing roar. Seeing as you want it just a bit louder, but deep, try just the axlebacks first though, and see how you like them. Good luck, happy modding, and enjoy!

Yeah the Borlas sound the deepest to me. I liked the vid blac. Like to hear how the Borlas sound under a load from about 2,500-3,500 rpm. Thats where alot of em lose it for me. Also definately don't like alot of crackling on decel.
I heard the Ford GTA mufflers on a Bullitt they have at a dealer here. Sounded great sitting there but didn't get to hear it moving. Thanks for the advice.
