Ya i saw that on Horsepower TV. That was crazy. They made 345 HP to the rear wheels with 4 pounds of boost. But that was a crazy set-up...But ya i saw it.

Bully dog aint no joke...But I missed the show...I did not know they made turbo set-ups for Gas powered vehicles though...

But after googling for a bit...It says it takes around 2 hours to install but I bet that is with a full team of techs as well...

Nice numbers though...

yea, its their first as they explained it to me, they have only one car and they are using it as a SEMA demo than they intend to release more info, they do not even have a price scheme yet.

In any case it is a remote mount system so cost should not be too bad since you do not have to replace any of the headers. Down side is that it puts the filters unprotected in the center of the car so for a fun weekend car it is not a bad idea, I think if you want remote mount and drive the car often STS is a better setup. I like the remote mount systems but since I never drive my car in inclement weather it would not effect me.

I'm going to SEMA in an hour or so, I'll try to get info on it.

no need for one on a remote mount setup. the extra long pipes act as an intercooler and since it constantly has air moving around it, no need!!! and the boost response is still good. it doesnt lag like you would think it should with all of the extra pipes

heat itself is not as high on a remote mount either do the air not only cools though the pipes but is not as hot going in. You can push them to the point of needing a intercooler but at that point it dose not need to be as large as a standard system

thier remote mount setup places the turbos about mid car unlike the STS kits that place them at the rear, alot less piping to cool with but maybe this is why they were only running 4 pounds of boost.... i think it is cool that they are getting into mustangs, but i'm sure the potential is so much greater having the turbos closer to the exhaust chamber and a FMIC... where the power and scalability is greater.

you can alwyas scale up the power with a turbo and as you do intercoolers become necessary, true the bully dog system may need an intercooler sooner than a sts would but for 4 psi she put down over 400 to the ground so good enough for me.

ah, you can still make as much power with the remote setup that you can if its hanging off of the exhuast manifold.

What if you bottome out your car that bad? I wouldn't neccesarily want my turbo taking the dive.

its tucked up underneath fairly deep. shouldnt have to worry about it hitting the ground if you do somehow manage to bottom your car out that much.

actually STS is way up there and Bully Dog looked to sit higher than the side rails, it is def. higher than my sidepipes which I have yet to bottom out on.

Of course if you went with a huge turbo it would be a different issue but with the power our cars can make on a small twin setup its really not a big problem unless your looking for like 8/900 hp IMHO

wasn't really debating if you could make power or not, was more so getting at compairing the efficiency between the setups... I was always under the impression that the turbos were happier closer to the exhaust ports? as for the 8/900 hp, you will put a connecting rod threw the block way before you ever see that on the stock 3v rotating assembly.
