Thanks jlaw

Yeah the shifter is amazing. Highly suggest it to people. I was all set to go MGW, but Joe DaSilva suggested this one, and I'm glad I listened to him. I've not used the MGW, so I'm not saying it's bad, but this new Hurst is great.

Thumbs down

UnZippee, first off your car looks awsome!
I was planning to have 4.10's and a few other mods done once my tax return arrives and was wondering what DaSilva's quoted you for the gear install and dyno time? If you don't mind shooting me a pm I'd really like to know. From the looks of his 416 area code I'm guessing he's in the Toronto area somewhere and I don't mind driving a little ways to get it done right the first time.

Thanks

Thanks rjm

The gears were 249 bucks; normally they are 269. The pinion bearing (also called a crush bearing) was 35 bucks. Friction modifier & Amsoil gear oil was 35 bucks. Labor was 275 bucks. And the dyno time was 80 dollars for 3 pulls on a Dynojet.

So figure 600 bucks for the gears, installed.

DaSilva is at 960 Brock road in Pickering, south of the 401 on the west side of Brock, or on the right as you head south. I'm in Orillia, so I had a 90 mile drive.

It's worth the drive. All this man does is work on Mustangs. He has a leather couch & recliner in the show room, a tv to watch, and free drinks & snacks there as well. And chances are if you show up on a Friday, he will be taking you out to lunch with his staff. Tell him Rick sent ya.

Keep in mind he is one busy mofo, so you will have to book a appointment, probably 2 or 3 weeks in advance.

Thanks Zippee, I'll definately be giving them a call. Finding someone reputable to do the gear install is pretty much the only reason it isn't done yet
My Stealership is an SVT and FRPP authorised dealer but I'm not about to trust them with this.

Thanks again and maybe I'll see you around the car shows this summer. I'm in the London area. If your coming down this way give me a shout.

Anytime man. And btw your car look amazing as well, rj.

Yup if I'm ever down that way, I'll drop you a pm. I'm also back and forth through the London area twice a week, so I'll keep my eyes open for a blue CS.

Do you go to any shows, Ryan? Believe it or not I've been to more shows in the states than here at home, other than my local car club Friday meets. lol

Thank Ragsie

I'm so happy I could fart out the Canadian National Anthem. I just wish it would stop bloody raining. Hard to have fun with 4.10's when the roads are wet.
