Stereo Question???

Anyone know if there is anyway of playing my Ipod through my cars Stereo so I can hear it through the cars Speakers?? I don't wanna do it the FM Transmitter way though, because I tried that in the past and it fades out or gets fuzzy. So anyone know if there is any kind of connector that connects to the Factory Stereo, that allows you to control you Ipod through the car Stereo??? Thanks!

Yes they sell kits to hook them up to your stereo.

Yea but I do believe that you need an after market deck to hook it up. I know zip has an after market but the stock radio has no extra connections. Unless you wanna splice which I don't recommend.

I'm pretty sure you can get adapters for factory head units, although I'm not positive. I will ask my installer tomorrow when I see him.

Go to Radio Shack and ask them for a double side male connector that fits your Ipod to your connector inside your center console. One end should go where the head phone's go and the other end inside the center console. Thats what I did with my Itouch. It cost about $5. Hope this helps

Where does it plug into in the center console?? The Power Port above the Radio???

According to Crutchfield they do, but the cheapest ones are $230.00, so for that price I might as well just save a little more and buy a new HU instead.

The 05s and 06s don't have the aux input in the center console.

Yea I seen that on Crutchfield as well. It's cool, but it's expensive.

I just installed a Pioneer Avic D3 it has DVD, Nav. Bluetooth for your phone, and a cable i ran to the glove box that charges your ipod and the touchscreen to control your ipod.
Ipod never leaves the glovebox excpet for adding music. If you have a bluetooth phone you can add a mic and sound comes through speakers. Your phonebook will be on the touchscreen as well.

So do I, because we have to go the $400-500.00 route just to have an Ipod capable CD player, unless you wanna spend $230.00 on a wire, which I don't.

of course ford couldn't have put this in the 05-06. you know they were able to though. glad i got an 07 also

I like the TPMS.

I like the fact that the car will warn me if I pick up a nail or something while driving to work, and give me a chance to pull over and fix it before it goes flat and I destroy a 240 dollar tire.
