That sucks. At least it wasn't anything major though.

I woulda put money on this happening, saw a YSI layout at Straightline do a similar thing on the dyno at 30#. They converted to safety catches, almost like bungie hooks, to keep the tubing together..

Did make for some interesting times though.
How about a 12 second pass at 68 mph. Tubing blew of the turbo pipe close to the 1/8 mark or 10.8 at 109 mph...looks like the tubing held on until about 900 feet and then car lost all boost. We'll never know what that run might have been if tubing had held.

No pics of the tubing. Think the tubing remained intact...just that the clamp couldn't keep it from blowing off at the 20 lbs boost level. Then it's possible it got a little oily or something and that was it.
Couple of very quick vids from last night Quick walk around car. You'll be happy to see that all the yellow noodles have been tossed. The 10.8 pass. You can hear the pop as the tubing separated from the turbo pipe and then me saying "it blew again". Car looked fast up that point...think it might have been that 10.2 or 10.3 we were expecting.

I dont know what size your tubing is or what type of clamps are being used, but If you can use clamps that class 8 diesel trucks use I would give them a try. they are made to withstand continuous boost pressures of 30 to 60 lbs and can be purchased at any heavy duty truck parts dealer. hope you get it worked out for next weekend

Thanks for the suggestions gentlemen. Good to pool ideas. On the way home Lance was talking about diesel clamps. We're going to investigate all options and take a closer look at the thread responses. No guarantees but we've got a few days to get it sorted. Also emailed Powerhouse, in case they've experienced this already.
In the meantime, ordered net and installation kit, a delay box, and just a couple of dark grey strips of foam padding to cover the bars directly in front of and to the left side of my head, during street use. No more yellow noodle padding, I promise. Also got to do a couple more undercarriage welds and move the driveshaft a tad. We're thinking the track officials are going to be more strict at FFW.
