Hurst Shifter

I have had my shifter in since March and lately it rattles like crazy. I checked and everything is tight. Is this normal? I love the shifter but this is starting to drive me crazy.

Is it rattling up top near the ball or down towards the base?

Old hurst or new hurst? My old hurst rattled, all the freaking time, the new one has not started yet (knock on wood).

The old shifters had two seperate problems that caused it, one was the brass sleeve in the ball itself and there was another problem cant remember. either way FRPP never did anything for me with it, the new ball didnt fix it, then they just kept telling me there was a new one comeing out and when that came out I could get a replacement. Problem was i had to send them the old one first, which meant I would have to put my stock shifter in, and blah blah blah. The other problem was they wanted me to go through who I got the shifter from, and they kept giving me the deer in the headlight look. Gook luck.

this was before i was in business in case your wondering why i got it from someone else.

Trade it for a new Hurst or an MGW. The old Hurst sucks.

Mine may rattle, but it's rattling as it slices through my gears like a hot knife through butter.

How many MGW users have a Spydershaft? Any install/rubbing problems? Thanks.

Had this in my S197 '07 and it had no rattles. Hurst made a good shifter for our cars IMO.
