My purchases today (my credit card is burning)

I sold my motorcycle on Monday, so I have a little extra cash flow to finish preparing my car for the track (and order a new axle-back for the hell of it).

So here are today's purchases...

Steeda Adjustable Competition Upper Control Arm -

Steeda Lower Control Arm Relocation Brackets -

Mickey Thompson 275/40/17 ET Street Radials -

Bassani Race Axle-Backs -

Now all I need is my 3.5" Aluminum Driveshaft and a driveshaft loop and I'll be ready to go!

Man, the parts look good but I could never give up my bike! That's my first love no matter what.

Good luck at the track!

I see you're keeping your tires at 17. For the $ you're spending, why didn't you go up in size? Just asking because I'm new to all of this but that seems to be what most do. I'm still with the stock 17's that came on the car.

for drag raceing you want the 17s or hell 15s. thats what he got those tires for. people go up in size for other reasons.

Are those the super secret new bassani axle backs tribal or did you go with the normal ones?

HAH! These are the not-so-secret ones with the apparent "bad location hangars". That whole situation was so silly, man.

Well, if others want to know the story...

I found the Bassani Race axle-backs on LMPerformance for $409 w/free shipping, which was by far the best price I could find. I emailed a different vendor (I'll keep their name out of it) and asked if they would match the price. They went off about how LM has the "old" part and that their "new" part was better, and the best they could do was like $550. I asked, several times, what the new part # was, etc... and they wouldn't tell me. I even mentioned that Bassani had no record of the change on their website. Well, here is one of their responses -

"There is a new part number. They have changed the hanger positions. It's not a secret on having a part number. It's just frustrating to us when people on the internet with no knowledge or overhead sell parts for dirt cheap. We work very hard to get things right along with actual testing and knowledge of what works. I do appologize if you do not understand why we do not give out part numbers. Bassani along with a lot of companies do not have time to update there website all the time."

So, yeah... after all that BS, I went with LM. And honestly, I WANTED to go with the other place, but they just pissed me off, so I had to go back to LM.
