#&$*%@# CAI & tune ![]() I cannot believe how much of a difference the 93 Brenspeed tune + C&L Street intake made. Also the sound at WOT is great! And what is this? Could this possibly be throttle response? Wow, so that's what throttle response is! It was a 2 hour install for this wide eyed engine bay newb... but it was fun and now I know my way around air intakes a teeny bit better. Sorry for the babbling, just giddy. Other people who run the C&L Street - did you use the C&L MAF bracket that bolts onto the front bolt of the driver's side cam cover?

Thanks for the congrats -- I was expecting it to, you know help, but I wasn't expecting it to help quite so much . This is definitely what the car should have been from the factory. Although I thought up a theory last night -- the lag in throttle response on the factory GT's is probably a great traction control safety feature. I used to try to break the tires loose before the CAI and tune, now it happens on demand.

mmm, you need tires after a CAI and Tune... I only have about 12K and I need to my tires... it's getting dangerous since it's raining here... the rear end breaks loose real easy... it used to take me a stab of the throttle to loose the rear... now driving slowly I feel my rear end floating lol
and I'm stock as most people should know... |

Maybe that's why you hate your car so much.

Just a thought, that's all. The CAI/tune was my first mod, and I haven't taken it above 50 since I installed it....
But far be it from me to attempt to ruin your sadomasochism. ![]() Have you rotated your tires? And only 12k miles? Sheesh, I've got 10k and I just bought it 7 months and 12 days ago.

that won't happen... Imports are what's popular here. Aside from the fact that I don't street race.

I installed a C&L street intake last week and didn't use the bracket. I talked with C&L and they said it isn't needed.
