And back to the Nitrous topic....
I have decided the window switch will be fine by me. Now I just have to pick out a kit. I still really like the Zex kit but not too sure yet.

How much different is the second window switch from the first. I see it is a dual stage, but what exactly is that in reference to?

Dual stage is for someone running a second stage of nitrous. Your not likely going to need that feature, but you stated you would like to eliminate 1st gear from using the spray, for that reason your stuck with the second (dual stage unit).

I added a purge so I could hit it with the coldest charge possible once it activated.. You'll likely want some type of switch to arm the system, I went with the SOS cup hold assembly and wired everything in my own custom loom since I had so many switches:

Emay, that cup holder setup is SWEET! I have been looking for something more subtle like that to where I don't have to put switches all over my dash. How did you manage that?

Ok, I see that SOS sells them. What are the front two switches on your setup? Fog lights and what? How difficult to install?

Did you do the wiring yourself? Seems like it would take awhile! Where do the wires run?

LOL, I did all the wiring myself. Took my measurements and spun myself a nice custom length wiring harness so everything was nice and tight, I'm a bit anal like that.
If your familiar with the rear cup holder area there's a plastic insert down there that allows you to remove it to make a deeper cup holder. I removed that piece and drilled the console from underneath on the deep section. I put a 3/8" hole there for expansion should I ever need to bring in more wiring. I put the hole on the side of the cup holder toward the shifter in order to make it impossible to see in the event I ever removed this switch panel.. |
