ran with a guy wednesday night at the track. had a black 05 gt, manual. he ran a best of 13.02 at 109mph, couple other 13.1s i think. He said he has nothing done to the car but cai and tune. that is it, i ask he said no gears nothing. he was on street tires, not stock ners's but street tires that may ahve been 245s at the most, they looked kinda tall. Do you guys believe this? I know with mods, like slicks and swarybar delete maybe control arms and ds that et is not hard to do. but 109 on a stock motor with cai and tune, nothing else?????? wait edit this, i think he had stock manifold but an o/r x setup into flows though it had magnaflow tips welded to flows, dont know why, that is it.

mustang guys shouldnt lie to other mustang guys, save it for the gm crowd.

i know the engine wasnt blown or cammed. i think he was sprayin, how can you tell? i see tune stangs running 90mph traps not 109, am i wrong?

you can hear it going in if you are close enough...also you can see it coming out the exhaust if he is running fat at all

maybe a stroker kit? then he wouldnt be lying that his motor is stock, but just not telling you everything.

I hit a 104 trap speed my first time with my CAI+tune+o/r H and stingers on street tires. I also still have the stock 3.31 gears. But my 1/4 time was only 13.7

I also wasn't power shifting, this was my first and only time at the track, and this is the first manual trans car I've owned.

My stock baseline runs the day after I got the car, zero mods, netted a 103 trap. 109 is a tad steep if you ask me... I call bs..

Sort of agree with Emay, I know I could have had quicker 60' times, but I think what I hit for the trap speed is close to max for our cars with the mods you listed, with stock 3.55s he may have been up to 106 or something, but 109 is pretty up there.

BACK IN THE DAY THE CLEARENCES OF ENGINES OR TOLERENCES WERE NOT THE SAME , EVERY ENGINE WAS A LITTLE DIFFERENT,EVEN THOUGH THEY WERE THE SAME TYPE ENGINE. A CHEVY 327 WITH STOCK 350 H.P. IF U TOOK 10 OF THESE ENGINES GUARENTEED 3 OR 4 WERE MAKING 360 -370 H.P. THOSE WERE THE ONES THAT RAN QUICKER TIMES AT THE TRACK , LEAVING EVERYONE WITH DISBELIEVE. OK TODAY, U TAKE 10 281 FORD THEY ARE MORE PRECISCION MADE ENGINES, MAYBE 1 IS MAKEING 310-315 H.P.INSTEAD OF THE STOCK 300. AND THATS THE ONE OF DISBELIEVE AT THE TRACK
