I'm just looking to get alot faster at the track. My times have just had me down recently. I don't know what a 9.06 equalls in 1/4 mile times, but it doesn't seem very fast for my mods.

Hooking hasn't been an issue. 3K launches with a 2.17 60ft.

it's not the hooking... it's the weight of the wheels... the more rotating mass you have, the more power you lose...

yea juco but you dont have any real power yet to have a traction issue, yea you got more rubber and a heavy rim so they are hooking a little, but anything over a 2.0 sixty sucks and the weight of those rims has to be another 60plbs over some 17s! that a few tenths easy hauling that extra weight. run on your stock rims next time and see what happens. plus if you dead hooking at your power level then your bogging, that will hurt you as much as spinning.

and in case im tired and not makeing sense, a 2.17 60 is always a problem.

and unlike me you dont have 360+ ponies to make your run look decent at the end. thats all that saves me.

I have no idea what I'm cutting... all I know is... 3K launches = massive spinage for me on street tires... 2K to 2.5K is the sweet spot... and I'm completly stock to boot...

oh by the way juco thats a convertible? you cant run more then a 13.5 at the track without a roof at cecil county. i dont know all the rules maybe a roll bar is fine, but i know there are rules for verts. ask around if your really doing this for a track car.
