new hurst shifter?

hey i just got a shifter and they said it was the new one but i dont think it is, is the new one called the competition plus and does it have stop bolts or not?

yes the new one DOES have stop bolts. And a NICE CNC machined rail to connect to the transmission tail housing. The older, tubular version has a crackle (black/gray) paint finish. Hope you didn't get jipped.

who did you buy it from. i can tell you that I have seen more then one website refering to the old hurst shifter, as the new one. They just dont stay up on whats out when it comes to every product sometimes and its not like this was widely publicized i guess. thats the only excuse i can make for them. or else its just malice.

You will not need stop bolts with the 3650 tranny. The tranny has its own rather robust stops and most shifter manufactures do not recommend them with these tranny's. Unfortunately, they do sell them because people will insist on them. If you are going to use them, you better make sure they are properly set up. The last thing you want is to pop out of gear under full accelleration!
