Keep the 2006 gt or Buy a BULLITT

Well I just had a thought and having over the past month test drove 3 different highland green 2008 monsters, The thought crossed my mind to trade My WHITE 2006 mustang gt (my babygirl) for a bullitt. It will cost me more money and I be back in payments. BUT its a BULLITT, and as you can see I am a big BULLITT fan and a steve McQueen fan. so id figure I take a poll while im losing sleep. I did however test drive one that was almost as fast as mine.....but once i do all the work then it wont matter. just let me know what you think...

dude, why, thats just a waste of money and time, its basically a stripped down gt with a cai, gears, and strut tower brace, but thats just my two cents, ultimately its your money to waste, not mine.

I don't think you'll be as happy with the Bullit as you think ... just ask the 2001 guys ... stay with what you have

take all the mods off of your car, buy the bullitt and most of your mods will bolt on...

the 01 bullitt didnt come with 3.73's or a tune, just an underdrive pulley and a different intake manifold

I vote go for the Bullitt. Sure its striped down but isn't that the whole point of the car. No extra scoops or wings just like the movie car. Its probably the closest you will get without buying the original in terms of looks.

the thought of paying the dealer to take my foglights, front/rear bumper, and spoiler off makes me cringe lol

I could of well purchased a Mustang GT, but I chose my '01 Bullitt because I wanted something difference, EVEN though I plan on modding the crap out of my car. If you're such a fan of the Bullitt, and you can afford your car without a problem, then go for it! Just make sure it's the right color...green .

If you want a car thats more go, less show you should check out the Saleen Racecraft edition. Just a tad more pricey. I think the list is around 38k but look at all you get plus its saleen supercharged.

I wouldn't. It's basically the same car you have, but a different color and with no fog lights, spoiler (wingless S197s look horrbile, IMO), and a different dash. Your car is already modded enough that it shoudl easily be faster than a Buillit. But the biggest thing is you rcar is paid off. I'd LOVE to not have a car payment. Put some 4.10s in your car, get a Bullitt grille, and call it a day.

I might just throw a GT 500 front and hood on mine leave the grille empty and call it I suppose...... But the bullitt is still kinda attractive.

I say go ahead and bite the bullet, (pun very much intended), and trade your baby in. If you are losing sleep over it now, you will only have peace of mind when you get your Bullit.
