Replacing the Shift Knob
(reposting)
anyone know how to remove the shift knob from the boot? Can the boot be reused if I just want to repalce the knob? I got the boot/knob off but it appears to be one piece so I can't figure out if I am supposed to be able to replace only the knob thanks!

just pull it off. the boot has an elastic stretchable band that hugs the knob. then put the new knob on it and just feed the bottom of the knob into the opening at the top and the elastic band will stretch and hug the new shifter knob.
