i'd say start off with the intake, gears or throttle body, exhaust(magnaflow magnapack IMO), tuner, o/r X or H pipe (whichever u prefer)... then go into the big stuff like headers, suspension mods, tires, rims an exterior, an/or S/C or Turbo setup

for the 3V's a throttle body really does nothing so scratch that

The kooks are midlength headers and have the most overall horsepower gain out of all the longtubes/midlengths with Mac coming in at a close 2nd.

The JLT with a tuner you should buy from a place that is willing to give you a custom tune with it when you buy it like Brenspeed/Bamachips/VMP or somewhere like that.

I do not believe that the cat back that you show will work with longtubes because the cats are moved from the stock location.........Just get the kooks catted or uncatted X when you buy the longtubes.

This should help you a lil.

i am in the same dilema as u my friend. i got my gt the first week of october. mine is a 5 speed and came with 3:73 diff package. on sunday i took it to the track and ran a 14.4 but im @ an altitude of 4k feet above sea level. so now im looking for an intake for my gt but cant make up my mind. the mxp claims 15hp without tuning and the c&l/JLT calim 15hp with tuning. id its gonna be a daily driver i would start off with the air raid intake, its the best bang for your buck.

You got a good list, anything is good. the only thing you need to worry about is if you do decide to get headers, make sure you get a mid-pipe (X or H) that is designed to got with it. for example, if you get BBK headers, you would need the BBK midpipe to go with it. other than that sounds like your gonna have one sick ride!

I decided to hold off on the headers and do the catt'd X-pipe as you will see in my footer. I would like to get some brakes on the car now becuase these brakes are borderline dangerous when traveling at speed. I am thinking about the StopTechs in front and maybe some ceramics in back. I need to get this thing lowered about 1.25 inches and get a stereo in this thing that sounds great.

I will decide what I want to do once I get some brakes. Right now I am keeping my options open. To whipple or not? Really not sure yet but I am leaning towards no.

The brakes stop the car fine, it is just that they are prone to fade after extended heavy usage.

Your best be for that would be some upgraded pads, stainless steel lines, and high-temp brake fluid.

Also, where are you getting your intake and tuner from?

I bought it here for $630 and the tune was included. The brake fad was the worst I have ever seen on a car I have owned. I came from a modded 335i and the stock brakes were excellent with no fad. I can get some 4 piston StopTechs for $1060 from a buddy of mine.

So you already bought the intake and tuner?

If you are hell bent on new calipers, the GT500 pieces are they way to go, they are 4 piston Brembos and can be had for around $800. They only thing is, they will not work with your stock wheels.

Oh, that's another thing, if your car has the all season Pirelli tires on it, they are absolute garbage. Some good rubber on that thing makes it a much more pleasing car to drive.

Yes I already bought the tuner. I looked at Brenspeed, BamaChips, and Tillman Speed and I figured out the tune at JLT would work just fine for my basic set up and it was 10% off. Where can I get the 4 piston Brembo's for $800 and would they fit the BBS CH in silver?

What tires would you suggest? If I get rims and tires and can just save the stock rims and tires in the garage or sell them since they are only 2 weeks old.

I wish I would have known before I bought it. I needed the X-3 either way.

I don't think I got the track pack but I do have the 19 inch rims with the summer Pirelli's. I have the auto and not the stick.

I need to find some rims and I do not know if I should get black rims or silver? I wish there was a website where you could use a photo of your car and easily change the rims to see what they would look like on your car? Short of using photoshop I am not sure how I would do this? What rims/tire combo do you think would compliment the car and look good with the black?
