Thinking about another 5oh

Started thinking about getting a 5-0 to use as a DD. What kind of mileage could I expect out of one of these? I would be buying used so what do y'all think of this one?

Spot on. I seem to get exactly 18.0 whether I romp it or baby it. Most I've gotten was 18.3 and the least is 18.0 which is where it has sat for like 90% of the time.

Do it man. Then you can have a real car to run at the track instead of breaking the Fox

I ran into that guy at a gas station up here though. Guess I can't guarantee it was him but its the only black one I've ever seen running around lowered with those wheels. If it was that car though, it was even cleaner than it looks in the pics though.

As for MPG, driving my car HARD, like flooring it from every red light kind of hard driving, I've never had my average MPG go under 15. The only time my car ever gets on the highway is going down to Royal Purple so that doesn't really factor into that average MPG since I only go to the track about once every other month.

Gonna be hard to justify to the wife while we're trying to get another house and I have my fox project. I was just looking on CL and thought that was a good deal, so that got the wheels turning.

It's a good deal. Plus you won't find a a daily driver that'll be more fun to drive than a 5.0..

Have you driven a 5.0 yet? If not, we need to meet up sometime soon. I'll let you take mine for a spin and try her out.

Check out the gas mileage thread for these 5.0s. It's really amazing. I personally get 17.5 ish city and 26-27 hwy averaging out at about 19 (80% city driving). Actually, as it's been warming up, I've been getting better gas mileage. this last tank I averaged 18.2 all city.

Check out Fuelly.com for real world fuel economy figures. I consistently get 19-21 mpg city with 3.73's and easily get 25+ mph on the highway.
