5.0

I visit the 11-14 much. Sold the twin turbo GTO for a 5.0.

Finally found one I liked. Bought it sight unseen via autotrader in the beginning of December. Finally had time last week to fly out and pick it up. It was a fun 2500 miles back to Texas. They sent me a video and I wired them the cash for it.

It was a one owner, very clean 2013. Auto Base with sync, brembo, and tech package.

Right after I wired the money, I started buying a few things for it. Car was bone stock. So far I have:

Preprinted GT500 spoiler
17x7 15x8 darkstars
BMR drag springs
BMR adj panhard bar
BMR panhard brace
BMR relocation brackets
BMR lower control arms
BMR upper control arm (not installed yet)
Viking double adj rear shocks.
Corsa extreme axle backs
Roush front spiltter
Black 5.0 badges
JBA ORX
X3 tuner
Lund tune (waiting on the tune before I put the ORX on)
JPC line lock. Waiting to arrive.

Dealer picture

Had to stop twice due to snow from Washington to Texas

Hoping to get some passes Sunday before I head back to work. Still trying to decide between a hellion twin or CPR single Kit. Motor will be built in a few months as well.

Thanks. Tonight was the first time I drove it since I got it back to Texas. It's too slow and boring. I did put the darkstars on the Gt500. I want a second set now.

I do like CPR but I don't know how comfortable I am with out them having a legit website or things like that. I did message them on svtp and they were quick to reply.

I may order the BMR anti bar and BMR upper rad support tonight.

Nice buy man. I think a twin setup would be sick. Nice parts list to start out with as well.

+1 for On3

I'm just not a fan of spending $7300 for a kit you have to wait months to be built, fuck that noise. Out of the two, I'd go Hellion.

The wait did suck balls. If I got mine sooner, I would not have got rid of my car.

Should have kept the Hellion kit too...

I also do not like how Dustin seems to present himself on SVTP or ACMR; it usually goes like "my way is better and your way sucks" in most of his posts. There is a really good one on SVTP right now in the Power-Adders section of him and JPC arguing.

Hellion kit was fugly. Too much piping and oil lines. I also like the power curve of a single better than the twins. Twins will make more torque than a centri obviously, but the way they build power looks similar to a centri.

On the other hand, a single. Just ramps up hard then flat lines for a few hundred rpm. Which is more my thing.

I have all the respect for Dustin, he's been good to me, I think he gives off a lot of great info. I think he designed a killer turbo kit. But same goes for JPC, I think what they've done really in the coyote world is amazing. Most of a lot of the stuff kind of goes back to them in my opinion. As far as bolt on cars running 10s, record chasing turbo cars. Imo they're kind of the pinnacle of the coyote world. Not rev auto which alot of people seem to think. Not that they suck, but jpc kills it.

If I could, I would go cpr again in a minute. But money is an issue. I can't afford $7300, plus supporting mods (injectors, plugs, boost guage, boost controller) at the end of the day I'm north of $9k. Where I can buy a tvs for with id1000s for $6500 new. And you also see used tvs, whipple kits floating around with injectors for ~$5000.

I had my chance last year and I blew it lol. Unfortunatley I can't afford to do it again

Read up on reviews of on3 last night. I'm going to pass on on3, hellion is awesome because twins, but I think CPR and JPC are the two I'm looking at now. I just don't like the way the filter looks on the JPC. I haven't looked at the CPR in a few months.

One thing that isn't clear, does the JPC require to buy different manifolds? I've read they don't include manifolds but their site says everything is included minus fuel/tuning.

Jpc uses stock manifolds or shortys. Only downside imo is that jpc you can't run a sway bar. Cpr you can. Which to me isn't a big deal, the sway bar off these cars is barley noticeable. But it is nice to have the option of putting it back on.

Have you been in a 2011-2014 with twins? Power delivery is fucking nuts. I haven't been in a single, but I can tell you that the base On3 kit on just wastegate pressure feels insane. 9psi in the On3 car vs 9psi in a Paxton car is not even close to the same feel, nor does the power delivery feel like it. Even when I was recording from the Paxton car that was wastegated at 11psi it didn't feel like the powerband was like the On3 car.

I got a dyno sheet the other night from a buddy since I was going to buy his 7675 and have a shop near me build a kit, but he sold it before I could buy it. The graph looked similar to an On3 graph. I won't post the graph, as we agreed to keep it between ourselves, but it looked like most twin kits. It is an EDP based kit.

Twin Turbo dyno (This kit uses 6266's)

CPR kit dyno:

I know I know, it's cuz one builds boost per RPM and the other doesn't, but that's not my point. JPC is most certainly the top level shop for the Coyote game, hands down. Especially after being at their booth for hours at NMRA talking to them, they are good guys and know their shit. I buy most of everything I can through them, simply because of how good of a company they are.

If our CDN dollar wasn't so bad I'd honestly consider dumping my roush s/c to buy an On3 kit

UPP is almost finished with their TT 11-14 Kit too. They'll be about 6k I've had their TT Kit on my GTO.

I am ordering a JPC line lock right now. This pos car can't even do a burnout.

It's cheaper to have Blake Holcomb build a shortblock than it is to buy the parts yourself and have a shop do the labor for your stock motor, just an FYI.

I talked with him briefly a few months ago.

Took the 5.0 to the track tonight. Fucker still won't burn out. I was told the stock tune won't allow it to. It slowly spun the tires (power braking) but it kept the Rpms at 2k.

First run with the car was a 8.2 with a 1.9 60'. I'm sure it would have been slightly better with hotter tires.

I need to get the ORX and Lund tune done in the next day or two.

Got the ORX and tune loaded last week. Dropped 2 seconds off my times at the track. It's a fun car now.

Drove out to late model restoration this morning and picked up a few things.
Swapped the MMDs over to the 5.0 Shelby had no traction and the Zevens look so much better on the 5.0.
