SYNC help please.

had my new GT. for almost one month. everything was perfect. but today it won't play music from my iphone5, says "indexing" "autoplay unavailable" was working fine yesterday.

what can i do at home. FYI, i have made no changes to music file.

Disconnect battery for about 10 mins. Then try, my sync will do wierd stuff sometimes and I just keep doing hard resets on it.

Did you try rebooting the phone first? I've never had to disconnect the battery of the car. Also, are you trying to sync via cable or BT?

I'd also like to point out that ford is having sync issues across their entire vehicle line with iPhones. I was told by a ford engineer that there will be a recalibration for the apim (sync module) sometime in the first 1/4 of this year to help with the iPhone phonebook issues they have been seeing (calling the first contact in the phone book no matter what name is selected due to what they believed was the presence of immogees *no idea how to spell it* in the contact info). He said this release may also (but not garunteed to) fix some of the iPhone functionality issues. I second the battery disconnect. And I second the phone reset. Your just experiencing a software glitch. A battery reset will reset the apim software and will give you a temporary fix. Please note: Ford recommends at least 5 minutes with the negative battery terminal disconnected to ensure the apim has enough time to completely power down. In some instances I have seen 2-3 times that for proper apim resets.

USB. Ill try the battery thing first.

Actually there were no serious issues with iPhones until iOS 6 came out.. Something apple changed?
