Throttle lag causes the 0-60 to be worse. And stock shifting. Once i got my tuner+bamachips tune, my car feels much better then it was before. I spin my tires into 2nd and chirp them into 3rd.

Dont underestimate V6 stangs...My friend has a "slightly" modded one that gave my stock GT run for its money. If he got the jump it would hold until I got to 3rd gear.

They can be made quite respectable. Intercooled turbo @ 13lbs, 8.8 rear, gears, lca's, and dr's and it can be capable of running high 11's.

Yes it did, but that was thanks to greediness for ET's and nitrous combined with the heat soak from FFW True Street class which forces a 30 mile cruise followed by 3 back to back passes. All turbo @ 13lbs was the sweet spot, and many passes and daily driving were done with that. In my opinion the car would have been quite happy living in that range for quite a while.

Sightly modded? idk...your stock gt should have NO problems unless boost is a factor or its full boltons with a good driver.

No, just a guy that likes chasing ET's and running at the track. At the time (last July), there was nobody that had pushed the envelope to see how far a 4.0 could go on the stock block, so I figured why not...let's see what it can do and go from there. Was a fun ride.

He was a good driver and had:Intake, Exhaust,Tuner, Wideband, Nitrous, 8.8, 3.73, tlok, driveshaft, line locks, tune, lcas, uca, antisquat brackets

He didn't spray when we raced. I said that he gave me a run for my money, not that i was having problems. But a V6 that I could only pull by a car or two for a 1/4mi is nice.

I run 13.81, n/a, bolt on, automatic daily driver. I would say they can run pretty good. I have never been beat by a GT at my track (US131) New or old.

not true my v6 can run with a stock 95 gt
my time are my first time at the track with a lot of extra weight and a full tank of gas
but i was only .3 off from my brother in laws gt and it had a cai and exhaust so i would say that we'd have to boost to win

The V6's have that nice iron block (much like the older cobras). They are strong and can handle more power. If you are building one to kick @$$ go for a 100 shot of N02 (on a modded one) to give you about 350hp and 400tq from 3000-6000rpm's and only $1000. If you have a spare 6g's buy a turbo kit and you will be fast....very fast...

i'm pretty new to mustangs and i'm picking mine up in December. I was wondering myself how quick they really were. I never had any intentions on making this my speed toy, just a reliable DD that looks hot and isn't wimpy.

As BadGT06 said, I started thinking about the superchargers available for the V6. It looks very nice and I am considering getting one. I've been looking at the Vortex kits that have a air to water intercooler.
