sweet triangle thing on the rims: help


today i saw one of our cars with the same stock wheels, but in the center there was this shiny triangle thing that was sweet. it went on the center of the rim. Where can i get those things?

take the wheel
off the car and they pop off from the inside.
it may be a little different for the newer mustangs

no, you grab the rods and jus pull them off. They come right off. And theyre called knock offs. or at least they were called that.

well its easier if you take the wheel off, the original cap is a little hard to remove without damaging it without taking the wheel off but if you do all u do is push it out from the inside of the wheel pretty simple.

The spinners are easy to take off, just grab an ear and lever it loose. Trouble is, as some dealers found out, easy-off means they had to take 'em off the lot cars at night and put them back on in the morning.

There is a disk of some kind, a washer or a drawer-pull or something, available at Home Depot, which when inserted before mounting the wheel, fills the back of the spinner so the prongs that spring-hold it in place can't collapse to the center, and a simple grab-and-lever won't be as likely to get it off the wheel.

I don't think they look particularly good on a "busy" wheel design, like the ones they put on the premium V6s. Not too bad on a large, black wheel, though.
