go to ford and buy the left side exhaust hanger and the section of pipe that goes over the axle to the muffler for an 05+ GT, then have your favorite local muffler shop make a Y to tie in the new pipe to your stock y pipe. Or just have the same local muffler shop bend the over the axle pipe and supply a hanger. Either way will work but my local muffler shop got the bend wrong and my axle hits the exhaust on big bumps. Not really their fault because it did not do it with the 7.5 rear but the 8.8 has bigger axle tubes. Had I just bought the GT part from ford it would not be banging. You will love it with those mufflers on there!!!

disregard what jaybo just said
DO NOT USE A Y PIPE SYSTEM WITH DUAL EXHAUST take it cat back to a local muffle shop and have them cut off your stock y-pipe and replace with an h-pipe. have them fab up the hangers as well. shouldnt cost you too much money and will sound much better and have more lower end power than funning a y-pipe system |

An h pipe may sound better but on an n/a 07 v6 with stock heads and cam an H pipe is not going to make any signifigant gains in power over the y with dual outlets but may cost more if that makes you happy. Headers dont make significant gains on an n/a 4.0. I guess every couple horsepower you gain adds up though. If he was going s/c in the future then it would be worthwhile. I just personally dont see the need. JMO though.

it makes more sence to get the h-pipe so later down the road he wont have to get the h put it. with a pure stock engine and a full exhaust and cai you will see more hp... with ported intakes and heads you will see a lot more of course. if you are gettin duals might as well do it right then having to go back and do it again

true, if he has the money go for the H pipe, another option is a weld in x from UPR, they are only like $79. I have heard that the x makes more power but the H sounds better. Could not say as Ive never personally heard any.
Hey puddle jumper- JK, had to say it because Im a squid, Im on an FFG and we do the CN ops so we have Coastie Dets when we deploy.
