The Mustang Source Forums - View Single Post - Steeda Ultralite spring install complete! Here's a couple writeups by tacobill. It is exactly the same on our 4.0's except you probably have no rear sway bar in your way. Originally,i had someone put my vogtland springs in,and kinda always regretted paying someone to do it.One of the only mods i did that, doh. Now,this time around i did it myself so it is fresh on my mind.Make sure you rent the compressor kit for STRUT springs.I though i heard mention you could not need this, but just to be clear, you WILL unless you are nuts, lol. The rear springs are cake to do,but the strut fronts are more involved and the stock springs that come out will need compressed pretty darn good in our cars to relieve the spring tension enough to avoid a dangerous result. An air compressor would be really helpful, lol, but a good amount of elbow grease compressing them works too. ![]() Odds are,for a mild drop, your camber will be fine.I got just over an inch drop and never had uneven tire wear after 10,000 miles. |
