New Wheels Question

I've got a 2004 Mach 1 and I am getting some new wheels for the track but I dont know what backspacing to go with, heres the sizes and let me know 15x10 5x4.5 circle with either 4.5 5.5 or 6.5 backspacing. Which one will be best running a 26x10.50x15 hoosier

you will have to do some work on the rear brakes since you are running the same as a cobra (11.5). if you swap to a gt rear brake then the 15x10s with a 5.5 BS will clear no problem. some guys have "shaved" the banjo bolt down and worked the brake caliper over. i didnt want to do that, so when i did my solid swap i put gt rears on and never looked back.

you can run the 15x8 with a 5.5 backspacing i believe.

You say the 15x8 will fit over the brakes without problem? I thought they would rub on the Mach's brakes... Has anyone here ever shaved their brakes to get a 15" rim to fit?

i know that the 10's wont unless you grind allot off of them.

a friend of mine has the 15x8s on his mach i will see if he had to do anything. i am about 90% sure he didnt have to modify anything.

That would be great if he could lend some help! I'll be ordering them in 15 x 8... Just wondering how much "work" is needed. And if anyone has ever had to grind on their brakes and wants to share the experience it would be great!

That's what I've been hearing... Did your friend say anything about clearing a banjo bolt or having to cut it down any?

I have 15x8 weld draglites, and I didn't have to do anything to fit them up right.

yeah i guess one of my friends had to shave a little to make it perfect...

that was why i just put gt rear brakes on.

fronts you will have to run a spacer. just depends on how wide your runners are and that will tell you what spacer to get.
