I don't know about best, but I have the MGW orange handle and really love it. Just about every one I've talked with in person or on a forum board loves the MGW also. I think I've heard maybe two people that didn't. I think you will find it's the most popular.

Just about every shifter is the same. Except for the MGWs, they have a swiveling adjustment as well. You probably will not like Pro 5.0's shifter handle. The shifter base is great but the top of the handle makes you damn near punch the radio on the 2nd to 3rd shift. I have a Steeda Tri-ax that I received for free and haven't had the first issue with it.

asking that is pretty subjective... like asking which is better turbo or sc. or if some suspension is comfortable or not. i have an mgw and my buddy has a b&m ripper. he doesn't like my mgw as much because he wants a shorter throw. i don't like the b&m because it's too short to me, i could see misshifting it pretty easy if im in a canyon or on a road course. for me personally i love my mgw, it's short enough for my taste w/o being too short. and notchier w/o being too notchy. i sat in an 03 with a pro 5.0 and i didn't like it either.

I like the MGW for the termi's, they seem to be the crowd favorite, as previously mentioned, and for good reason.

blue thunder upr shifter here, better than stock shifter, (any shifter would be) with minimal gear noise, for the price is not a bad deal IMO, wondering if the mgw has if any gear noise...?

Just picked up the Pro50 for my upcoming T-56 install in a couple weeks

Have been using one on my current T3650 after running the Hurst prior. I found the Pro50 MUCH less "notchy" and prefer it for a smooooooother shift.

I actually use the Hurst arm that I cut down to be even shorter. The ball is directly above the second bend of arm. I have measured 1.75" travel between gears on my T-3650.

Jazzer

EDIT: It will remain to be seen how much travel I have on my T-56

I got an MGW blue handle short throw in my GT that came from a Mach 1. I have driven a few cobras one had a pro 5.0, an MGW and one had a 'custom' one. The MGW felt a little nicer then the the other 2.

Thanks for the response.

MGW is out. They dont offer dealer pricing.

so its between steeda and 5.0, unless there is somethinng else good?

Its looking like the steeda is the more popular of those two?

My MGW is nice. Don't really know if it's quite like the stock one. Been to long with out the stock. It has a small click when it goes in gear but that's about it. I don't really hear it unless i have the radio off and no air going.

it's kinda like suspensikon. the best way to figure out what you like is to try someone else's and see how you feel about it.
