I hear ya there. I've personally bought both my mustangs and I always get that look even at 21. I never had any parents help either and like you I'm sick of the whole "daddy bought it" attitude these people get when someone young actually goes somewhere in life without college.

My neighbors called the cops on me shortly after I moved into my house here in Royal oak because "He must be selling drugs to be that young and have such a nice car. We always see him bringing expensive items into the house too!". I showed the cop last years tax return and he just left and apologized.

I walked over to their house pretty pissed off and explained how I came from a poor background and grew up in an 800sq/ft house. I mentioned that just because I'm young and make more than their family with 6 grown people in the house with only 1 that works, doesnt mean I sell drugs. I'm a software developer and bring home 6 figures, yes its rare for a "kid" my age but get over it.

Now they just give me dirty looks every time they see me and it was great last weekend when I bought my new self propelled mower and they sat on their porch watching while I assembled it and cleaned up the yard. Weekend before last we planted new flowers and redid the landscaping. They must really hate me now since my yard looks *way* better then theirs. Dont feel sorry for them their 4 kids all came back home after getting convicted of felonies. Every one of them has a record and one had to knock on my door and explain how he was a sex offender when he moved back home.

I hear ya man.... People think they have everything figured out enough to give us hard working guys trouble. Just ignore it and piss them off by succeeding.
