theres 3 for sale around here with less than 5k miles n they want 17-18k, are these things worth that even with that low mileage, i would never spend near that for one i was just wondering, how bout 96-98 cobras with less that 40k, they worth about 10?

Damn to be honest thats almost something I'd bite on. Just for the fact that you wont find many more with that low mileage in the coming years.

Of course I wouldnt want the pushrod but rather the teksids. I picked up mine with under 30K in very nice condition for roughly 13. Saved all interior components in my garage in case I decide to revert back to show or sell it.

Light years faster than my previous 98 GT hardtop with full bassani exhaust, roush cold air, and 4.10s. Never looked back since then.

17K is in the Mach1 low mileage range too though.... Depends if you care about the age depreciation or really want a spanking new SN95 Cobra..... For the money I'd prefer the Teksid but the Mach comes with better suspension, interior, traction control if you DD, a slick looking body, and about 20 more rwtq that peaks a few hundred rpm sooner.

Diving more into opinion I'd say the Machs C heads are way better stock, but worse in the longrun compared to well prepped 96-98 B heads when getting blown. That is totally opinion though and both can be made sick. My personal interests lie more in a top end motor where as C heads are more of a midrange motor.

Either way I'd expect people to say "too expensive", but to some an unmolested 10+ year car is worth it. Depends who you are.

^ on this one. If it's a car this old w/ that low of mileage...that's almost pushing the "collectible" area in my book.

If you're a millionaire that's not too much or reeeeeeaaaaaalllllly want one with that low mileage. I just got my 97 with 46k for $8k. Agreed...I'd find a Termi or Mach for that much though.

Are you going to be driving it all the time? If so then use your money elsewhere. If you're going to keep it in the garage, then it might be a good buy.

Picked my 98 cobra vert up for 6,500 with just under 60K if that helps you gauge pricing at all...

Times like now cars are selling cheap and deals are to be had.

But like others have said it all comes down to what you think/want. In my opinion I would pass.
