need your opinion
ok so i sold my GT and looking for an 03/04 cobra vert. Now i have found a couple for 20-23K. There is a local dealership that found a sliver 03 that has 14k miles but its a repo. but will sale it to me for 20-21,5k so i am kinda unsure about that 1. there is also a competition orange in ohio that is 23k that has 45k miles but i would have to fly out there and stuff. What do you guys think ?? i really like black but idk they show everything so silver, orange and red are my favs right now.

yae i really like th CO also but its just soo far away and would cost to fly and or ship it back. and the miles are kinda high if it had alittle less i think i would jump all over it.

Lower mileage silver one...if they give you a good warranty. I like the orange a lot too but 3x's less mileage does it for me.

If the CO is a vert, than that is a pretty rare car. They only made 72 (if I remember correctly) CO verts. But in today's market, with those miles, I really think $23K is the high end, unless it has a twin screw swap or something to make it a little more valuable. If you want the CO, I would just offer a little less and see where it goes from that point.
But don't be scared of the Repo. That's a decent price for those miles. It's at least worth checking out. I have a buddy that saw a repo'ed 03 Cobra at a bank. He went in, looked at the car, got a list of all the things that needed to be fixed, told the bank this is how much I have to spend to get the car in top-notch shape (it was missing the correct OEM seats, a chip in the hood, and a couple of other small things). They knocked off quite a bit on the original price, he got a great deal on it, and right now that car is probably one of the single nicest Cobras that just about anyone on this site has seen. Like I said, could be worth just checking out.

As stated before. Def. get the CO. And whoever said there were 72 made that is correct. It is a rare car you don't see to often.

yes those CO verts are very rare I've only seen 2 that I can remember. Might have been the same one though.
Not exactly helpful to buying, but if you're getting a vert go right for the subframes. I'd say first mod period unless you wont mod it at all. Dont want to mess up the frame if its that low mileage. It will wear much better if the subframes go in earlier. Why not just red? I personally would have had a CO 97 but they never made it with that color. Rio Red was next best looking in my opinion and I'm happy with it. I do wish I could have found a rare Atlantic Blue one though. But I'm getting off topic. |

There is a ab one in Raleigh, NC with a black top. Don't know the price but I can check if you want. ATL is only a 5-6 hour drive. PM me if you want and I will stop and talk to the dealer tommorow on my way home from work and get some pics as well.

thanks man but i just put a deposit on a black vert. he was on svtperformance and its only got 20k miles stock but some flowmaster weld ins and tinted headlights for $19,6k
