Team Z vs Baseline
Racing season is approaching fast and I still haven't finished my rear suspension. I have heard great things about both companies and am not sure which one to go with. Have any of you had any experience with either one? I plan on using either one of their relocated upper control arms. Which one will hold up the best on a daily driven car? My locker is hell on rear suspension parts.

Sorry man, all my Mustang suspension knowledge revolves around the straight axle. Maybe Jazzer knows more about the IRS?

C MY 4D, is running a solid axle. He swapped it out along time ago.
Sorry, brother, I've never heard of either one before. Good luck with it. |

In that case my suggestion is always to get rid of the stock 4-link setup for something that doesn't totally suck. I know guys are running good times on the 4-link, but you're fighting an uphill battle.
Of course, converting to a 3-link is much more expensive up front, might be cheaper in the long run if you're continually breaking stuff, though. Myself, I'd be looking really hard at a Griggs heavy-duty torque arm setup.

Torque arms don't like a lot of torque.
I already know what I want to run, just wanted to see if anyone has ran it on the street for any amount of time.

Get over the the Corral and send KEVIN$ a PM. He's the owner of Baseline Suspension. He will explain everything and be very helpful in setting everything up. Or go to....

I have spoke with Kevin before.
I'm just trying to see how they have been holding up on street cars. More than likely I'll go with baseline, just wanted to hear some opinions before I order.

Really? I'd love to hear more about that, as I've never heard about any such issues.

MM's HD torque arm is only rated for 451 lb-ft at the wheels with 4.10 gears. When launching with slicks they like to bend due to axle wrap.

Now don't get me wrong a torque arm setup is far superior to the stock 4 link when in the twisties but the stock style 4 link is used in outlaw and drag radial classes every weekend.

Have you talked to Bruce Griggs? Everything he makes is full-blown race parts. And yes, I'm aware the 4-link is used in some *very* fast cars, however I've got strong suspicions that those setups are not using the stock geometry. As I'm sure you're very aware, there's a big difference between the Mustang triangulated 4-link and the parellel 4-link found in other cars.

The whole point of the of the relocated uppers is to help fix the shitty geometry in the rear of the car.
