Just bought my first Cobra!

So after owning two 95 5.0s. I decided after i Kenne Bell superchargered my last 5.0 and it blew a head gasket 3 times that it was time to get rid of it and buy the car i always wanted. So on Friday ill be driving down to Virginia (I live in Connecticut) to pickup up my 04 Cobra coupe and drive it back. The car is white with the black suede. it has just over 26,000 miles on it and its lowered a little bit and it might have a different exhaust other than that it looks pretty stock. So this being my first cobra and 4.6L let me know about and tips and pointers that i may need to know now and down the road. thanks guys. ill have pics up as soon as i get the car home!

Get a KenneBell for the 04, upgrade the fuel system, tune it, put some decent tires on the back, and strengthen the rear end and suspension. Pretty basic, but you can get a 600+ HP monster with just that.

White with the charcoal inserts is so fucking sexy. Can't wait to see some pics.

Here a link to Cobra Bob's website. Lots of good info on the 03-04 Cobras. You won't regret getting a Terminator. I know everytime I step into mine, it puts a smile on my face.

You should do all the supporting mods before you starting adding performance mods. If you shop around you couldn probably get better prices

The brace is a must to strengthen up the IRS.
The Cooling mod is also a nice addition, but most require you to either drop the tranny or remove the s/c to install them. I don't have a head cooling mod on mine yet, but when mine needs a clutch I'll be doing the head cooling mod then.
Heat exchangers aren't a must. From what I've read they do very little for IATs. Everyone says the Killer Chiller is the best to reduce IATs. Heat exchange shouldn't be on the top of your list.
That air fuel/upgrade is overkill for a car that isn't making over 500rwhp yet.

If you plan on keeping the IRS I suggest getting the IRS brace, sub frame connectors, and some IRS bushings. Wheel hop can be deadly for the IRS. Then after that start with some power adder mods. I did it backwards and now I'm doing stuff for mine to hook up better. What good is 500rwhp if it doesn't hook up? Just my .02c

Thanks for all the info guys. im 19 years old and its been my dream car since i saw my neighbor get one new in 2003. I picked the car you for $22,000 with 26,000 miles ill have it home Friday night and ill get pics up shorty after.i just cant wait to drive it.

We have oodles of Termi's here in the NW... half of which are Whippled or Hellion kits on them, making 700 wheel hp. Beasts. You're going to love it.
