Just In Case

Ok so I won a 2003 Mach on eBay a couple days ago and I'm going to get it Tues the 21st. It completely stock, as soon as I get it I want to put a set of gears and a tune in it. What gears should I go with? 4.10s or 4.30s? I love going to the drag srip so which I get need to be able to handle the quarter mile.... It will be my daily driver as well so any gas saved would be a plus, but I would rather have speed/power than gas mileage lol. I searched for a thread about this but came up empty handed.

I have a 01 GT with an auto and thought about 4:30s but top speed came into play. But if I had a 5 speed I would so 4:30's and some GOOD tires. but ask people about shifting and trapping but I vote 4:30's

Azure blue. Only 24K miles! Im super excited about it. I was pre-approved for the loan But it wouldn't be the first time something didnt work out for me when I went to get the car or money haha. I have to fly from Blountville, tn to orlando, fl to get it yay road trip.

Ive got a set of 17x10.5 black bullitts with 315 sticky tires than im keeping off the GT so I think that should get the job done

just plug in the 430's into a gear calc... just depends on what u wanna do with the car

for a dd that sees significant highway, im not sure id go that low of a gear

ya should then.....I would still get more imput than just me for sure. I told ya what I thought (4:30s) but I think you should talk to someone with that gear ratio

damn bro, sorry to hear that. just wait and keep looking and im sure youll find something. also check the MACH registry as im sure they got some on there.

That's BS. Ebay really should make people selling cars lay down a deposit that goes to the winning bidder if they pull out. It's not like buying a used XBox game for $20 or something. It's a pain in the ass to get all the paper work resolved to get approved for a loan.

And yeah, check out the registry. I'm on their all the time and Mach1 prices are dropping quick.
