you don't find many guys who have beefed up the irs on here. Honestly my IRS is stock, and I'm prob going to go to a SRA so I can't be much help.

Roll steer's an issue with the SRA, too.

I wasn't aware of a "roll steer kit", though. I can't imagine many people would need it though, as the amount of suspension travel on a lowered, stiffened car wouldn't really allow for much in the way of roll steer.

Err, wait, is this for drag racing?

It's not for draggin'. It's an outer tie rod kit for the rear. The main focus is to keep the toe consistent while cornering. It's a long, drawn out procedure to set up. I'm not sure if the upgrade is worth it to anyone, other than the hardcore road racer.

And the hardcore road racers ditch the IRS for the SRA anyway, lol.

One problem, it's for a customer who loves his '03 and wants his i.r.s. to do what he wants.

What is it that he wants it to do? And how much is he willing to spend to make it do that?

He wants to carve corners, and he drops me a ton of cash to make it happen.

Well, the Griggs GR40 setup seems to be the hot ticket if you have the cash for it, but it'll involve an SRA conversion.

There's NO ONE in any serious form of Mustang racing that keeps the IRS (at least, none that I'm aware of).

On top of that, if he's a corner carver, a terminator is probably the worst Cobra he could've got, lol. Between the iron block, forged internals, and supercharger, they've got a LOT more weight on the front end than previous cars, but still have the wonky pre-S197 suspension. Gobs of power yes, but horrible weight balance.

I understand you're making due with what this guy has, I'd probably give a call to Maximum Motorsports, I think they're one of the few companies that is giving the IRS an honest shot (though even they'll tell you to go SRA if you're serious about handling).
