Can you see it at all or do you have to really look hard to see it? The 94 to 98 was recommended to me, said it was better for the cobra to replace the IRS.

put it like this, without wheels on you can tell, with wheels on I wish that I had gone with some 10.5's or 10's

You cant put axles for a 99-04 in a 98 housing caus the housing is .75 inches shorter on each side so yes it would make a difference.

Yes you can tell the difference in length. I dont know why anyone told you a 94-98 housing was better. If I could have I would have gone with a 99 or newer housing cause of the length issue. Mine is from a 98 Gt. You will also need shocks cause the shocks from your IRS setup will not fit on the SRA because the lower bolts on the shocks are different sizes. PM me if you have any questions.

Thanks for the input, I will explore my options a little more and see what is best. So DIABEETUS, how is yours holding up? What is the highest in RPMs you have launched yours?

the 98 housing will allow you to run a wider rim, but personally i would stick with a 99+ axle. i run a 10" wide rim with a 11.5 slick on it and have no issues at all...

+1, if you are going to get it then just go with some either 10" or 10.5" rims.

I havent launched on a drag strip yet cause the car isnt ready, but on the street Ive dumped it at about 5k and it hooks like no ones business. No hop at all. I will tell you this, its NOISY! I have tubular LCAs with poly bushings, and adjustable uppers with poly bushings on the housing and solid spherical bushings on the chassis side. You definetly hear and feel everything, but the car launches straight and hard. If it werent for the fact that I had the uppers left over from a previous mustang, I would have had the poly bushings on the chassis side, and the spherical bushings on the housing side.

There are a few things I want before I take it out so I get the best results. Wheels, tires, linelock, and two step are some things I want before I race it. I dont want to chew up my street tires and I want to be able to do a proper burnout and for that I need the linelock. Its kind of back-burnered right now while I get my business up and running. But after that, Ill be doin lots to the car.
