If you can do it yourself or know someone who will do it the mod is definitely worth the cash for the intake cams. It's a 10-20rwhp gain on Machs.

Or you can get them used for $100 like me Unfortunately for 99-01 Cobras it isn't as good because their intake cams are almost as aggressive as the 96-98s.

give me your email addy and I can send you some stuff. when you get the cams you will see a timing dot as well as a keyway. The keyway for the cams will have to be in the 12 oclock position (relative to the deck surface of the heads). Ive got some good info for you that is too big to put up.

Ive been so busy that I wasnt able to put everything back together just yet. in the mean time I looked around and came up on some very useful info, that coupled with my multiple books, and asking and Ive pretty much got it down pack now alot of it seemed really confusing until, like I said, i looked around, read, asked, read somemore, then I got it. I got scared as when I did put everything back together I was getting a "tapping" sound. I knew that i didnt do anything wrong as before reinstalling everything I rotated the crank a couple of times just to make sure there was no resistance, which there wasnt. I took everything back apart only to find out later (after more reading) that when I was rotating my cams (rotated them a couple of times to get the exact model #'s off of them) that the hydraulic lash adjusters will get air in them and give off a "tapping" sound until there is a steady flow of oil going through them expelling all traces of air. needless to say, I can take everything apart now in under an hour Frustrating, tiring, but well worth the experience.
