All Cobras are manual.

Check Redline's site, I'm pretty sure they have a specific recomendation for the T45, though I don't know what it is off the top of my head.

I'm sure Royal Purple has an appropriate ATF as well.

And for the uninitiated, yes, the T45 runs ATF.

I found an Eiback Kit that comes with shocks and struts thats made to go with the sportline springs. so im thinking about that... and i got Redlines recommendations for fluids. so you think that popping noise is most likely the struts? its so annoying... it just sounds like somethings loose or something.. what about ball joints ??

You wouldn't normally hear a ball joint noise on smoother roads. Besides you said you had the front end checked, correct? Do you have a longer screwdriver? 15" or so, or even a longer piece of steel kinda like threaded rod. Grab one of your buddies. Take the screwdriver or rod, hold it in your hand, place the other end of the screwdriver on the top of the strut shaft nut, place the end that is in your hand up against your ear and have your buddy jounce the front end up and down slightly like I mentioned before. Do you hear the popping sound through the rod (normally you should feel it too in the rod every so slight)?

As was mentioned earlier in the thread, typically if the strut is slightly popping, it's not a big deal. Unless the strut has leaked right out or the popping is turning into a clunk (which would call for replacement) it's just really annoying and not an issue.

Sway bar mounting bushings were badly worn. im waiting on my new urethane bushings to see if this solves the problem. im also going to check the steering rack bushings. also read that it could be a motor mount ? anyone have any new ideas ? or new things i should check ?

That wouldn't cause a suspension clunk. Engine mounts normally make noise under load not cruising.
