Exactly. There are roush and saleen cobras albeit they are rare. It's not like I'm putting a stalker kit on my cobra

I know they did, but there termis are downright sexy, I wouldnt want to go and put a body kit on one... I understand doing it to a GT but not a cobra. Now hes going to be rolling around in a car that looks like a roush with cobra badges and people are going to think he is like the car running around with cobra badges on a V6 or SS badges on a honda. Given he does have the HP to back it up, but it still wouldnt look right to anyone who knows their shit about mustangs.

Your logic is off. If I put roush badges on my car then I'd be fronting like I'm driving a roush. I'm driving around with cobra badges on my car because my car is a cobra... I put on roush body stylings but I'm in no way saying my car is an actual roush cobra. I just always wanted a mustang with the roush side exhaust but they aren't near as fast as the cobras. I now have the best of both worlds. If they think I'm bs'n about driving a cobra they can race me or ask me to pop the hood.

I heard the kit was shot w/ its first coat of paint yesterday. They are still waiting on my new heat extractor hood to arrive to finish painting everything but I'm excited. For the time being, here's pics of a sonic blue roush cobra (real roush cobra) but w/ a cobra R wing. I personally don't like the wing but its bad ass nonetheless.

Nah right now I'll stick w/ my saleen reps. I want to get CCW's or some AFS 03 cobra reps in 18's but I'll be broke for a while after this bodywork. I've never been a fan of most the roush wheels except for one set. These are the only ones that I kinda liked:

Honestly, aside from the roush body, everything else will stay stock cobra (seats, badges, interior, etc.). I don't want to get all the roush crap, I just liked the body style. The rest of the cobra package is awesome and won't be changed except maybe that supercharger....I want a KB 2.2H so bad but they are so hard to come by and I live in CA w/ our shitty gas and rules/regulations for exhaust emissions. I wouldn't be able to run over 17/18psi on it and aside from the track I'd never get much of a chance to step on it.

OH YOU FUCKER. Now that you mention the BBS' I noticed them in your sig. I think I just shrugged them off as FR500s. Are they the RK Plasmas????????? I wanted those wheels sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo badly but couldn't find a set.

I understand, and you totally missing my point as to the reason I dont really care for it all that much. Imagine if you were driving down the road and a car pulls up next to you that has a roush body kit and cobra badges on it, tell me the first thing that would come to your mind wouldnt be "dumbshit"... I understand that your not the same as that guy as you actually had a cobra to start with, but to the unsuspecting eye it would apear that you were some rookie with more money than brains. Does the roush rear bumper you have got the cobra imprint in it like the one in the pic does?

Yes I have an 01 cobra rear bumper. I debated keeping the 03 cobra rear bumper and just putting the roush valences on that but it looks odd.

You are a lucky guy. What size wheels/tires you running? I was hoping for 18x9 and 18x10 or 10.5. I only saw someone selling 18x8.5/9.5's once and that wasn't going to do it for me.

oh i know man! got a pair of 18x8.5 and 18x10's. and running a 255 on the front with a 335 on the back. its a nitto 555r, so it runs a little small, but still looks huge on a 10" rim.

Nice. Those 335 nittos are prolly like a 295 or 305 BFG drag radial but thats still some serious meat. And I just got off the phone w/ the freight company. They were holding my hood til I verified the body shop address and made sure there was going to be money for the $150 delivery cost upon acceptance of the hood. So stupid. I wish they would have told me to do that yesterday when my hood arrived @ the freight location. If I didn't call today they would have still been holding it. Now it will arrive @ the bodyshop monday between 9am-1pm. The shop said it will be roughly a week's worth of work left once they get the hood. I'm going nuts waiting for my car.

yup, they are a wide tire. so wide that i need to roll the fenders, because if i take a passenger along, the tires rub. but that will be handled here soon.

dang! the waiting is the hardest part! ugh. good thing you made that call.
