plastic between tire and engine compartment

The plastic that goes around the tire well that seperates the tire from the engine compartment is broken off badly, and my CAI filter sits down there and I was wondering if its bad to have the filter in the wide open like that? Obviously I wont drive it when its pouring rain or thrrough big puddles, but I mean just for normal driving...or possibly if it was just drizzling..

Are you able to just buy that whole piece from like ford or online somewhere or will i have to go to a junk yard? or is there some kinda plastic or something i could go buy and just rig something up? any suggestions?

You could easily make one yourself... just make sure you have the right dimensions and the push pins to hold it in place

no big deal to drive like that, just get another one when you can. you can get an inner fender off the internet for around $35

your only worry is hydrolock from driving thru a big puddle and sucking water into the filter. otherwise you are fine driving like that.
