opinions on this car please

I am getting ready to pick up a 03 mach 1 with full eaton swap. still has stock short block running 8lbs of boost, the car is flawless inside and out I mean showroom condition.

the swap is documented and its been tuned by excessive motorsports. mac H pipe with cats. H&R sport springs, slp2 catback, and a few other things

45000 miles already state inspected for my state 15000.00 is this a good deal? wanted some opinions from you 4v guys.

thanks,

If it's a quality build than that is a decent price. It's not a steal or anything but I think worth that money if it's a clean car and done right.

8# is on the high side so I'd check the dyno and make sure it looks safe. Reloaded could help you. He has an eaton swapped mach1. He did pop his motor but I'm not sure at what boost level.

Auto or manual mach?

Sounds like a good deal either way, but the autos don't have forged cranks. If it is an auto, you might want to dial the boost down an RCH.

sounds about right. i'd pay 15k for it. having the 5 speed means its got a forged crank, and i don't see an issue with the 8lbs of boost if the tune is good. i'd want to see a graph with the afr from the shop that tuned it if possible.

8lbs on the Mach block is fine. I don't think you can even run any less than 8lbs on an Eaton anyway. I was running 9lbs (3.40" pulley) on an almost 80,000 mile engine. It lasted about a year. And it turned out that under a WOT run one of the two pumps went out on the Cobra pump assy which caused a lean condition which is what led to my blown up engine.

$15000 sounds like a good price to me. I know that prices have really dropped on these cars, but 2 years ago I paid more than that for my Mach, and it didn't have an Eaton on it.

GL with getting the car!

15k sounds pretty good for an eaton swap mach 1. What color is it? Also, it's not an offroad h-pipe if it has cats. Offroad means catless. Unless he got some aftermarket cats put on an offroad h-pipe but that sounds silly.

We also live in CA which is king of high prices on cars lol. I hate going on the forums on svtperformance and seeing the prices people are paying for cobras w/ like 11k miles. Just not fair

True. Yeah I hear ya. I try and stay as far away from seeing what people are paying for Machs and Cobras as I can.
