I mean the stock bottom end *can* last on that power, but you're really rolling the dice.

If your goal is just mid-high 400's, than I say no. Just make sure you have all supporting mods, including fuel supply, and a great tune from a reputable tuner that knows what they are doing. You may not hit right at 470, but you can get close. All dynoes read a little different anyways. You may only make 450 on one dyno, go to another shop and make 465.

After awhile you are going to want more power though. It ALWAYS happens. So start researching your options now.

What he said.

I was at 417/413 on my stock Mach block and always wanted more. And now with the Cobra longblock, I can up the boost (which I did). And for now I'm satisfied, but I know soon enough I won't be. Haha. Damn addictions.

BTW a good tune makes all the difference.

thank all of you, u really helped, and i agree with you guys about wanting more hp, but right now all i got is a stock 01 cobra, justa has a jlt cold air intake, but i really want a supercharger. and yeah once i get the supercharger im going to eventually put more hp in, but for right now 450-470 is good. So overall can the stock cobra engine hold up that much hp.

it "should" be able to take it by all means, if your already investing in the huffer, just spend the money and work the damn thing, I beleive those still had the forged crank. but just buy the rods and pistons and upgrade the rings.

sean hyland has great rotating assemblies for pretty much every combo and horse you'd want to buy. and remember little stuff makes the difference

like upgrade the mains to ARP studs is always a plus, have everything machined and balanced and not have to worry about it
