03/04 Cobra SuperCharger

I've decided to get a supercharger and found one at a decent price. I'll be leaving shortly, for the 90 min. drive, to go look at and possibly buy. I was just curious as to what I should look for when inspecting it. Any words of wisdom is appreciated.

I hope you aren't looking at just the supercharger itself off of a Cobra and hoping to bolt it onto the Mach 1 engine. There's a shitload of other parts you'll need as well...

So how are you going to put it on the mach motor? its not just a bolt up project and the manifold you need ,if you can find one, is freakin expensive. It is the single most expensive part if you try to buy it from ford. Just an FYI

27) coolant crossover tube(hard U-shaped tube going from head to head)
28) fuel rails(i'm not sure if the pressure sensor on the driver side rail is the same, but we swapped that too)
29) boost bypass valve actuator(circular thing with on the rear driver side of the blower)
30) gaskets:
a) intercooler cap(mounts on front of lower intake)
b) plenum to blower(if you get a supercharger with the plenum on already, then you don't need this)
c) throttle body to plenum
d) IAC valve to plenum
e) EGR valve to back of blower
f) timing cover(3 parts to this gasket, and they are all sold separately)
g) supercharger to lower intake(this one can be reused if you can het the original from the guy with the 03)
h) you can also use your original lower intake to head gaskets. you just have to cut off two small tabs(one on each one). you'll see when you try to line them up with the 03/04 lower intake. no big deal at all, takes 3 seconds.
-----> you'll also need to do something for fuel. stock 03/04 injectors are fine. you can run a BAP on your stock pump, or swap to the 03/04 tank and dual pump setup too...

Here you go. You have lots of reading to do.

Eaton Swap..... - 2003-04 Mach 1 Registry Owners Club

If you have any specific questions, I'll try and help you out. I did the swap about a year ago.

If you are gonna go this route with the eaton then go ahead and drop a little more money on a port job on the blower while you have time and it is off the motor. It will be well worth it and give you the most power potential out of the eaton.

I've saw a couple of Machs with the swap and was amazed. But I don't mind spending the extra. After the summer I wasn't planning on keeping the stock block anyways. Which reminds me need to get a thread up for the build. Wouldn't want to make another "oh shit".
