thanks for the heads up! i will be calling him tomorrow. there were 3 of the girdles that were hurt. 1 of them had a crack, 1 was missing part of the bridge, and the other one was broke into 3 pieces. that was the one creating issues, the girdles are only doweled on the ends. the machine shop that was going to try and fix the head wouldnt do it because of minute alignment issues that could occur since that midddle cap wasnt doweled or anything.

i dont think this is the motor that this car rolled out of the factory with. there is a lot of things out of place thru out the car. the machine shop the head is at as of right now couldnt get a mandrel long enough to repair, so i will make the call after work.

Be sure to weigh and measure the expense for ALL the repairs needed to this engine.
Both you guys keep in the back of your mind that I do have a complete Mach1 5spd engine with less than 9,000 miles available for a pretty reasonable price.

the expense for the head is the issue. the rotating assembly is fine, so no expense there really. i am replacing gaskets, but thats about it. there was oil all over the place, so i am going to clean it up, new gaskets, and repair. as for parts, the parts to actually fix the issue is only a few hundred. he spent a little extra for upgrades and supporting mods as well.
