Head question: 98 4V -vs- 03 4V

Whats the difference in heads between the 98 cobras and termis?

Im looking at buying a 98 cobra, and I have a chance to buy a complete, unmolested termi shortblock off a good friend for $600. I'm wondering what the difference is in the heads though.

both are good heads but alot of 4vr's like the 98 heads ported as they are better for boosted applications. Also, I would stay with the 98 motor since the block is a aluminum Teksid as opposed to cast iron 03. so it all just boils down to what your intent is for this car. as i said though, both are great heads that flow rather well.

Well, if I took the heads from a 98, and put them on an 03 block, could I bolt on a stock termi blower?

Good friend bought it, but went with an MMR shortblock. Plus he owes me a few favors. What i didnt know though, was that stock termi rods are manleys. Impressive

I fucking want it

I've been trying to find some rods and pistons from an 03/04 for a decent deal, but if I can find a whole short block then that'd be even better.

Btw...the 03/04 heads are better flowing than any other 4V head stock vs. stock.

+1, if not, then it's not a Termi shortblock.

No, just the crank. And you also have the Tedskid block.
