These are customer vehicles that I've seen it on. The fuel they were using had too much ethanol in it, would caused the injectors to gum up and clog causing hesitation and surging. It had also been known to plug the fuel filters. 1996 and newer vehicles.

And no, you're not being a dick.

You can test it by going wot, full let off in gear, and then punch it.

I'll tell you right now if I go WOT, let off then punch it again she'll do the same shit. The FP gauge does show that she spikes after going high in the RPM range on any gear then letting off but I assumed that was normal due to the computer having to recalculate the amount of fuel required now.

You really need to see the frps data instead of rail gauge pressure. The frps is pressure compensated and the gauge is not. Talk to your tuner and they can probably dial out the issue.

Yeah saw the thread made in the other forum that you linked. I just find it nuts that this thing was previously tuned by Jon Lund and it doesn't run at its full potential. How could it ever have gotten dyno like this. It was 2yrs ago and another owner so who knows. I'll take the knowledge of the PSI in the other thread and let me tuner know if he doesn't already. Will blow my mind if a tune fixes her! Thanks.

BTW think I should take out the little disc before it gets tuned?

problem fixed! Was the damn tune! Mike is a flipping great tuner I didn't even have to tell him about upping the timing or anything he just tuned it right. He couldn't get out all of my low rpm surging because of the way my MAF is setup but it sure feels like it to me! It's pretty funny to how much he hates not being able to get that last little surging out but IMO it's fixed. My WOT is fixed also and I beat a naked 600 bike on the 1hr30min drive back, lol. We took it directly to a dynojet shop in the local area and heat soaked I made 453rwhp/420rwtq@6100rpm! Mike didn't want to take it any higher on her first run out but Monday I will let her go to 6500 or whatever they usually run at. The Cobra that was before me was also tuned by Mike and he normally runs 500rwhp but made 452rwhp today after he drove 30 min on his roots blower. Pretty crazy what heat soak can do to a motor. Point is I make 452rwhp all damn day long! I'm taking the Cobra back Monday to get a not so heat soaked #, Mike is looking for close or over the 500rwhp range! BRING IT ON!

18 degree timing, 11psi
