Don't mean to bore you with questions already asked!!

I've recently purchased a 2001 GT and need to be educated on the differences between the "GT", and the "SVT GT"!! Is there a difference and if so what are they.

Thanks in advance, I need to get up to speed on my new toy.

no such thing as an SVT GT. could you be thinking of the SVT Cobra?

This is my issue!!!

It has an SVT emblem on the left rear, a Ford Oval emblem on the right rear, a Cobra grill (I'm assuming the grill delete kit was used) and GT on the fenders. It runs like a bat out of heck, seems to havbe the 3.73 gears but there is nothing on the interior to suggest it's a Cobra, Bullit, or anything other than a GT. It sits lower than a standard GT as well.

Been confused from the get go because the VIN said it was a Bullitt........well it ain't a Bullitt.......I guess I got something somebody was trying to convert.....maybe it was repo-d before they finished.

Show me a picture of your car, engine bay, interior, and gauge cluster.

I think it's just a GT with "SVT" emblems on it.

yes they did.. im not sure if ALL of them did but it was an option

thats what i was planning on doing.. im doing a motor swap in mine then taking off all the badges, shaving off the cobra letters off my rear bumper then painting everything on the car black.. give it kinda a sleeper look ya kno..

this should help most def...
if its a bullit like your vin said, i believe the only year they came out in is in 2001 and in black and dark green or just the green

take the power train from a terminator and put it in there

i'm not sure if there were any more colors, but there were green bullitts and and black bullitts

Yes, they came in true blue metallic, or some variation thereof.

Did the Bullitts come with GT badges on the fenders? I am pretty sure they did.

Odds are, you have a Bullitt. The person you bought it from probably didn't realize this. The SVT badging is wrong, but the GT badging is supposed to be there. It should say Bullitt instead of SVT, so find yourself another Bullitt emblem and slap that thing on.

yeah, if your vin is saying Bullit then thats what youve got unless someone already molested the car and threw in a different motor in there or something along those lines
