It takes some time. But it can be done. Keep your eye on forums like a hawk.

$2000 for the parts to the swap? Damn. That's looking at around $6000 to build it if you don't already have a 4v lying around. Looks like I'm back to looking at a 03/04 liftout. Who would have thought the easy way would turn out cheaper? It's almost disappointing in a way...

My swap was just above $3000 with all of the misc nuts/bolts, gauges, tuner, fuel sys, etc.

The nuts and bolts probably make up like $100ish if you don't get them with the used parts you find. Even at cost, they're pricey. And can be a bit difficult to figure out going from the parts catalog illustrations.

In your case it's cheaper to buy an 03/04 motor.

No kidding. No matter how cheap I build my 4v It'd still cost more to build than buy. Plus with swapping in a lift out motor I can sell my core as a liftout and make back a good chunk of that.

...Anyone want to buy a P-71 Interceptor with 46k on it? Aluminum flywheel, Centerforce 2 clutch, TR-3650.

That's cheap really. I have a parts list here with me, and everything minus the Eaton blower itself totals just over 6,000 and that's dealer cost! But like I said, I'm findling like new used parts, or cheap new parts here and there on forums..and what I can't find I'll order from Ford.

Found a complete blower swap for a 4v for $2800. Comes with timing cover, all the brackets, little lines, all that little crap. However it doesn't come with the throttle body, intake tube or MAF. Seems kind of pricey to me. It would still take another $4000 or so to get the forged motor to put it onto, at which point I'd still need some sensors and wiring. What do you guys think?

...And I'm also working on getting my hands on a wrecked Cobra. Any ideas as to the value for one thats wrecked? I saw one go for over $13k. That didn't seem right considering you can get one that still runs for $16k.
