Stock mufflers on SN95 Cobra?

I don't have my stock mufflers in town with me to look at them. Are they 40 series Flowmaster? I've tried to find the answer and found one place say they are a 3 chambered Flowmaster muffler stock. Is this true?

I'm going to be replacing my Magnaflow mufflers with a set of either 40 series or single chambered Flows before long and I'm trying to see if I can save myself some money by using the stockers.

Thanks!

As far as I know, it's Ford's muffler. Not flowmaster.

The reason I ask is they are stamped Flowmaster. I don't have them with me to look at everything on them though.

If they're stamped flowmaster then somebody def. welded them in. Is it a "boxy" looking muffler? The stockers were a round shaped muffler...

They are rounded but I think they say Flowmaster on them. I could definitely be wrong though. I'm going back to the Richmond area where I have them next weekend and I'll take a look then. Thanks for the assistance!

Cool. Thanks man. They must have been welded in if my memory serves me correctly on them saying flowmaster on them. I'll have to take a look at the mufflers later this week and see what I have to work with. *hopefully some flows*

Thanks again.

I'm 99.9% certain that the stock mufflers were not Flowmasters. Near as I know, the only aftermarket company that's ever had their mufflers installed as part of a production run was Bassani for the '00 Cobra R.

I know the catback is different for the IRS Cobras.

My 97 Cobra has no stamping for flowmaster.

Bassani I believe. Without googling it because I'm busy at work just popping in to check my threads, I remember seeing Bassani on the list of aftermarket companies that supplied parts.
