More updated pics

The car is almost finished. The whole car is completed up to engine bay. We just have a few brake lines to connect, a couple wire clips, a few new parts to put on, the suspension to connect in front, and then some body panels to put on. Should only take 4-6 hours if it all goes in like we think it should.

its looking good. something to seriously consider, you need a bigger, better radiator. the radiators in those cobras only had marginal cooling. not good enough, especially if you plan to boost it down the road. a simple fluidyne will do.

we do have a new radiator, not sure how much bigger and better it is then stock but it will do, im not planning on boosting it anytime soon since its like 5 grand for some supercharger kits.

well with the turbo craze that alot of people are getting into, people are selling their superchargers for like a grand. you could piece on together fairly cheap. but if that engine has over 100k on it, id freshen it up

yea theres another reason that i dont want to put boost on it, i dont think the internals would be up to the power it would make, i dont really want to be rebuilding it anytime soon. Maybe down the line

true true. U did such a smart thing. ur gona have insurance on a v6 and power of a cobra. Just be careful. some insurance companies wont cover you if u get into an accident and they see that you did modifications.

yea, and if they see that its a cobra v8 and not the little v6 that can get u in trouble too but i dont know exactually how it works but i hope not to find out

yea thats whats i was referrin to. you're payin for coverage on a v6, not a v8 lol. UM, something to consider, get a tubular front suspension kit for it. it saves a TON of weight up there and makes doin starter changes and header work (which id do before puttin the suspension back on anyway cause u'll have to pull the suspension back off if you decide to put headers on anyway down the road) soo much more easy to do. A chip or tuner wouldnt' be a bad idea either. you can squeeze a few more ponies out of your car and make it run better as well. and you can set a rev limiter slightly lower than 7k(stock) so that it mite save your engine for a lil longer if you drive it hard.

Sounds like you've been busy. When do you estimate getting it on the road? I can't wait to see some more photos.

FRPP c springs are cheap and give a nice lowered stance, plus they are easier to get in since they are lower. Just a thought.
