good news!
i just got my baby back! the clutch is so light its as if im just pushing air. i freaking stalled it thinking itll just be the exactly the same as before. i talked to the guy about it and he tested it in 1st/reverse. said it was normal and said that i need to drive it around to pump the fluids so itll be back to normal. he also said that 9 other gt500 owners said the same thing about it. so after driving around for an hr i can tell the clutch is getting more tension in it and i really hope itll be back to where it was before. (i like it heavy). as for the rat thing, i have to pay $277 to get it repaired.

I'm glad it got fixed and it all worked out for ya man. I really hope I don't develop the infamous clutch problem. My build date is Oct 08 so I "should" be ok.

yeah its all fixed now and im getting used to the new clutch/flywheel set-up. its very different than it was before. way lighter and the point of engagement is a lot closer to the floor

Sounds like the GT500's get a hydraulic clutch. No quadrant and no built-in adjustability (I'm assuming).

You're correct. Hydraulic clutch. I came from an 06 Mustang GT and the learning curve on this clutch has been pretty steep. It really grabs and finding that sweet engagement spot was a challenge early on.

Hydraulic clutches still have adjustability - it's usually at the slave cylinder, on the piece that pushes on the clutch fork.

i dont really know much about the clutches other than driving them. i got it down smoothly now, its just a little more touchy/sensitive than it was before.
