Also when i pulled the air intake off you can look down the TB and there is alot of what looks like rust deposits in the intake. What causes this? Should i pull the intake and have it cleaned. I dont want to start putting on all my aftermarket parts untill my idle problems are gone.

if you ordered a kenne bell and your gonna order cams,you better put a built shortblock on that list cuz with just the kenne bell your pushing the limits of that stock shortblock,remember the 99'-01' cobras have the 4 valve but no forged internals,also think about upgrading the rearend cuz those 28 spline shafts are gonna go pop with anymore than about 400hp or so and then you need to upgrade your........the list goes on and on and on..........sorry just tryin to help

i thought 01 cobras had 31 spline shafts

nope 28 splines in the 99'-01' the termi's have the 31 splines.

i was told you get big gains from custom grind cams, i was quoted 1600 not including install

this site says 2001 went to 31 spline. anyone taken the irs apart and checked?

31 spline in termis only......

Seams like there is alot of info on the cobra out there that contridicts, mosly likey your right. But alot of places are stating that early 01 cobra has 28 spline and the rest have 31 spline. This is even listed at Drive shaft shop. But never the less im gonna do the stage 5 half shafts so in the end parts still have to be swaped out for stronger stuff. So did you do the termi swap ur self? was it a huge project, problems...i keep thinking about it, but the non intercooled kenne bell seams so much easyer.
